Our care standardsWe model our services and care standards on the work of Professor Dawn Brooker, a specialist in the field of dementia, to provide enriched dementia care. This means that we aim to provide as many opportunities as we can for you to be active, engaging with local communities and offering you a wide variety of things to do that help make life meaningful, occupied and fulfilling. Enriched dementia care focuses on valuing you as an individual and supporting what you can do, building on your strengths and finding ways to compensate for the losses brought about by your illness. We take time to learn about you, discovering about your life so far, who you are and what makes you feel happy, safe and fulfilled. Our role as your carers is therefore to provide warmth and respect, balancing safety with independence. We continue to monitor and implement the latest developments in Care Practices as stipulated in legislation and regulations by the Care Quality Commission. For more information about our standards of dementia care or to request our Service User Guide, please contact us. |
